Also referred to as color rubdowns or dry transfers, Color transfers are custom sheets of type and/or logos that can be applied to a variety of substrates from paper to industrial products. Created from digital files, single or multi-color transfers are matched to pantone colors or metallic or to a custom color swatch. Ideal for package design comps, labels, models, for photo shoots and more!
NOTE: The process requires a film negative for each file or multiple colors within a file, which is an additional charge.

Artwork accepted
- Northern Lights works only from digital files.
- For a 1-color transfer, a "press quality" pdf is best to submit.
- Please be sure to use black only in your originating file (100k black and not a 4-color black, i.e. 0 cyan, 0 magenta, 0 yellow, 100 black).
- Gradients, transparencies, or tints are strongly advised against as they do not hold up well and are very difficult to rub down.
- Email the file and let us know the number of the Pantone solid color you want your rubdown to be.
- For two- or three-color transfers, please contact us.
